1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile applications and website operated by GB Web Development Inc. (doing business as Pinnacle Media), incorporated in Québec, Canada.

4671 Berri Street
Montreal, Quebec, Canada H2J 2R6
Phone: 1-514-575-4396
Website: pinnaclemedia.ca

We are the responsible party (personne responsable de la protection des renseignements personnels) for personal information collected through our products and services, as defined under Québec's Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector (the "Québec Privacy Act", also known as Law 25) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information, depending on the app or service you use:

  • Account information — name, email address, username, and password (where account creation is required).
  • Device information — device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and app version.
  • Usage data — features used, session duration, crash reports, and performance data.
  • Location data — approximate or precise location, only if you grant permission and the app requires it.
  • User-generated content — any text, audio, or other content you voluntarily submit within the app.
  • Contact form data — name, email address, and message text submitted through our website's contact form.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as financial account numbers or health data) unless a specific app feature requires it and we disclose it separately at the point of collection.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve our apps and services.
  • Respond to your inquiries and support requests.
  • Send transactional communications (e.g., account confirmations, password resets).
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Analyze aggregate, anonymized usage trends to improve user experience.

We will not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the Québec Privacy Act and PIPEDA, we collect and use personal information only with your knowledge and consent, or where otherwise permitted by law (e.g., to fulfill a contract, to comply with a legal obligation, or where it is clearly in your legitimate interests and does not override your rights).

You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at the address below. Withdrawal may affect your ability to use certain features of our apps.

5. Third-Party Services

Our apps may use third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or infrastructure. These providers may collect certain information automatically. Common examples include:

  • Apple App Store / Google Play (distribution platforms)
  • Firebase (Google) — analytics and crash reporting
  • Xcode / Android Studio crash reporting tools

Each third-party provider operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review those policies. We only engage providers who offer adequate privacy protections.

6. Data Transfers Outside Québec and Canada

Some of our service providers are located outside Québec or Canada (including in the United States). When personal information is transferred outside Québec, we take reasonable steps — such as contractual agreements — to ensure it receives a comparable level of protection. By using our apps, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in other jurisdictions.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

8. Your Rights

Under applicable Québec and Canadian privacy law, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Data portability — receive your personal information in a structured, commonly used format (where technically feasible).
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent to collection or use at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint — file a complaint with Québec's Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI) at cai.gouv.qc.ca.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 10.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
